Cladding Rectification

The programs to replace combustible cladding on existing Australian buildings.

Cladding rectification refers to the state and industry programs set up to identify and replace combustible cladding - largely polyethylene-cored composite panel - on existing buildings after several major fires.

It is the backdrop to the heightened scrutiny of external wall combustibility and a key reason solid, non-combustible aluminium is favoured on new work.
