Powder Coat

A baked-on architectural finish that protects aluminium and forms the base for the woodgrain.

Powder coating applies a dry powder to the metal, which is then baked to flow into a tough, even film. Architectural powder coats are UV-stable and weather-resistant, which is why they finish window frames, battens and metalwork across Australia.

On woodgrain aluminium, the powder coat is the base layer; the woodgrain is then sublimated into it for the timber look.
