Facade blades are battens, often deeper sections, set out from the building face to shade glazing and give an elevation rhythm, depth and shadow. Orienting and spacing them to the sun's path controls how much direct sun they block.
Aluminium blades span well with minimal support and will not bow in the sun like timber.
